BIO
Born Newtownards, Northern Ireland. Previously a member of Cork Artists Collective and Backwater Artists Group Cork before relocating to Belfast and joining Queen Street Studios , in 2003. Has exhibited extensively throughout Ireland and increasingly internationally in China, Berlin, Mexico, Spain and Lithuania, Paris and Berlin. . In 2007, she was selected for the Smithsonian exhibition of new Northern Irish Art (Resolutions) at the Katzen Center for Arts Washington DC.
She participated in the first ever exhibition of artworks by women artists from Northern Ireland at the Guayasmin Gallery, Havana, Cuba 2008. She has received awards from Arts Council Ireland, Arts Council Northern Ireland, Cultural Relations Committee and the British Council.
In 2009, she was Artist in Residence at the Centre Culturel Irlandais, Paris and in 2010 at Rooftop Studios , Berlin. Currently based in Munich were she is developing ongoing research into memory, memorials and how the State remembers the past.
